I notice that in the log you sent for the message that came out without headers, you didn't include the line that said what the ultimate fate of the message was - there should be another line containing the "6080" identifier, or at least some other reference to a message with the ID number 396984. If I can find out what CommuniGate actually _did_ with the message, I might be able to fix whatever the problem is.
