I've only recently setup CGPSA for the first time on our system, so I'll
keep an eye on it.

From what I have seen so far in our 'top' output, cgpsa briefly goes
<defunct> when it finishes but then it vanishes as it should.

Platform is RH 7.3, perl 5.6.0, CGPSA 1.2.3, CGP 4.1.5.
